Hat Night for Baseball

It is almost time for baseball season.  The league we are in here has a great way to kick off the season.  The have a big Hat Night.  Each coach goes up on a stage and calls up his team and awards each player a hat for his new team.  The boys were very excited.  Andrew was picked to play for the Angles in the Major's division, Joshua will be on the National's in the AAA division and Noah will be on the Rockies in the A division.  I should add that Baron will be the Chief Umpire for the league this year.   Seth is dying to play baseball too, next year.   Looking forward to a great season.

Heidi's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Heidi.  We actually started celebrating the day before by going out to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory.  This is one of my favorite places to eat especially because I remember going there many times a a kid for family birthday's.   Baron and the boys got a yummy ice cream cake and a wonderful book for me.  My friend Rhiannon and her three kids brought some yummy cupcakes over for us all to enjoy.  My friend Bobbie dropped off a delicious chocolate covered carmel apple.  Then my Aunt Patti, Uncle Mike and Cousin Rebbeca took us out for Yogurt Island which is my favorite treat.   The next day I used the birthday money I got to get some clothes and a nice pair of new shoes!  It was a wonderful couple of days celebrating my birthday.  I am very blessed.

Rose Parade 2014

 We started of the New Year by attending the Rose Parade.   I had been before as a kid with my grandparents but Baron and the boys had never been.  We did buy seats and parking ahead of time so there was no camping on the street like many people do.  We still had to get there pretty early.  We left our house around 3:30am to drive to Pasadena.   We arrived in our parking spot around 5am.  I planned ahead so we had mini cinnamon rolls and breakfast pastry to snack on in the car once we arrived.  About 6:30am we headed to our seats.  We were in the bleachers near the top and unfortunately not on the aisle.  Truthfully our seats were great to see the parade but not to use the bathroom.   Andrew and Joshua both had to use the bathroom at some point during the parade so they had to push through about 20 people to get to the aisle.  None of the adults used the potty on this trip!!!!!  Overall it was a super fun trip to the parade and we were so glad to have this opportunity.  Here is to a wonderful 2014!!!
