Swim Lessons

Joshua, Noah, and Seth took swim lessons right at the beginning of the summer.  Joshua was taking level 4/5.  Noah in Level 2.  Seth was in beginning toddler.  It had been a while since the boys had went swimming.  Noah was very nervous and thought he would not be able to swim without a life jacket.  Joshua had to do a lot of lap swimming in his class and was quite tired out at the end of each lesson.  Seth loved being in the water and playing the games that were actually teaching him a skill!  By the end of the two weeks Noah was swimming to the side without assistance.  We were so proud of all them!  On to the next level for all!

Santa Rosa Plateau

On this beautiful day we went for hike at the Santa Rosa Plateau.   All the kids had a great time.  Seth and Noah really enjoyed that the rangers gave them a scat hunt sheet.  They were on the hunt for poop!  We saw birds, lizards, and squirrels.   We saw some beautiful flowers. It was such a fun afternoon as a family.

San Jose Visit

During the boys 2 week spring break we drove up to San Jose for a few days for a visit.  First stop was to see Grandpa Ron (Heidi's dad).  We also had a great dinner with Grandpa and stopped by a few other times.  I took the boys out for a special lunch at Cheesecake Factory which we all really loved!  We also got to have breakfast with my wonderful friend from high school, Jackie.  Since her kiddos were not on spring break we did not get to see them.  After the breakfast I took the boys over to visit and tour Mission San Jose.  This is a very small mission but was still fun to see.  Joshua has been working on his 4th grade mission report and it was fun to see another mission.   We got to go see both Kate and Taylor play softball games.  Both girls played great and we were so happy to be able to see them play.  We had a wonderful lunch with my cousin Jill, her daughter Jennifer, and her daughter Elise.  Nicole and her girls also went to the lunch.  It was so fun to have all of us together.  We made a quick stop to see my cousin, Heidi, and her new baby Rachel Marie.  I loved being able to hold these baby girls.  Our last outing was to attend the final movie showing at the Century 21 movie theater in San Jose.  The theater opened in the 60's and was a part of my childhood.  The movie we saw was Raider's of the Lost Ark.  The group was Mike, Kate, Taylor, Noah, Joshua, Andrew and my self.  We all had a great time.  The kids enjoyed seeing the movie on the big screen.  On our last day in San Jose we stayed home with the Scott girls who did not have school but their parents did.   This was a really fun trip and we got to visit so many wonderful people!
