Over spring break Andrew and Joshua had a opportunity to attend a one day deployment camp. The we off to camp early in the morning with Dad dropping them off before Dad went to work. They were assigned to a submarine Navy unit and did lots of activities with their group. The camp helps kids to understand what their military parent might do on a deployment. They did obstacle courses, learned about weapons, and Andrew's favorite played Tic Tac To with a Navy diver submerged in tank of water. Andrew even got to talk with the diver while the diver was submerged. The boy also like the talk on the guns used. At the end of the camp the boys got a big Welcome Home ceremony just like a military unit might receive upon return from a deployment. Mom, Dad, Noah, and Seth arrived early to make a welcome home sign for them. This was a super fun opportunity for all of us and gave us a new understanding of Baron's job!
