We arrived in Vancouver, WA just ahead of a big storm. While watching the news my Aunt and I saw a report about a local tree that was hit by lightning and exploded. We drove by and a good some photos of the scene. The area is now a local tourist attraction since everyone is there to take pictures and see the tree or what is left of it. They even had volunteer police there to keep things in order. One of the interesting things about this is that originally there were two trees standing close to each other and one was barely touched by the lightning and the other is a big mess. It was a fascinating site to see for us all.
