The last places we visited while in Vancouver, WA was the Water Resource Center and Fort Vancouver. The Water Resource Center is a great free hands on place for kids to learn all kinds of things about water and natural resources. The kids really had a great time trying everything out. After we headed over to Fort Vancouver. I was happy to pick up a pass so that our military family could get in free to National Parks and Monuments. We were hoping for the kids to be able to do Junior Range activities but they were out. We still had a great time exploring the fort. We all really enjoyed the blacksmith's shop. Andrew even got a challenge from the blacksmith to count the cannon balls in the fort to earn a piece (a J hook) that the blacksmith had made. He did it! WE had a fabulous day! We sure are going to be sad to head home and leave Vancouver and our wonderful Aunt and Uncle.
