One of the reasons we choose this time of year to visit New Mexico was the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta. It is always the first week of Oct and is a breathtakingly beautiful event to see. We have missed it so much! On Friday we awoke to balloons all around Christy's house and it was just so beautiful to watch. On Saturday evening we headed out to Balloon Fiesta Park to take part in the Balloon Glow event. We have to thank Christy for getting us into the Intel hospitality tent for dinner (free). A balloon glow is where the balloons inflate but stay tethered to the ground and light up (glow) when it is dark. It is a great way to get up close and personal with the balloons. It was a beautiful sight to see. The boys all really loved seeing the balloons glowing. I must add that Andrew and Joshua have been to Balloon Fiesta when they were little, but don't really remember it. This is Noah and Seth's first time to New Mexico and Balloon Fiesta.
